Starting the game with only 10 men Moston were firing on all cylinders. Andrew Bowker snatching the ball away from his opponent and taking it on a good run down the left wing provided the opening goal in 4th minute. Darius on top note as usual followed with a second 5 minutes later. Niall arrived just in time but thought that was the 1st goal. Bury couldn't hold on to the ball for long as Moston were allowing nothing. Kyle Hark scored the 3rd from a fantastic through ball from Kallum in defence. We could see that Darius was itching to get another to add to this season's collection and it didn't take long before he cheekily chipped the keeper, giving him no chance.

Some great passing skills right up the field allowed for the next goal, again by Kyle Hark who slid a nice little number into the bottom left hand corner of the net. Making it 0 v 5. With 8 minutes to go Bury began to do battle and found some extra energy that Moston appeared to be lacking. Some confusion in Brooks defence left an opening for Bury to score their first but Niall retaliated and bagged another for Moston. Just before the half time whistle Moston were looking very tired and Bury scored their second from a corner kick. Half Time ended 2 v 6.

As the second half began Moston looked like a totally different team and switched roles with Bury. They were constantly getting caught out by the opposition for being out of position. Midfield were not getting back quick enough and defence just went to pot. Bury scored another 4 within 20 minutes making everything level. A few vital changes were needed, so by shuffling a few players around we were able to strengthen Brook's defence. This worked well as Bury were prevented from getting through any more. A great pass from Andrew down the left wing was received by Darius who took on two players before delivering a beauty to Kallum. Kallum's shot opened up the game again, which got Brook back on track. Kyle Hark decided to make doubly sure that the game was clinched by netting home his hat trick. This has cost his Dad dearly today.

Well boys overall the first half was superb. You demonstrated just how great you can be even with only 11 men and no subs. But for 20 mins of the second half I don't know what got into you. A lesson to learn from this is, 'No matter how many goals separate you from your opponents at the end of the 1st half, you should never come out in the 2nd all cocky and behaving like you've already won' because look what happened today. All I can say is 'thank god' you didn't give up because it was finally through your determination that allowed you to claw the game back. MOTM today goes to Kallum Partington, who was a tower of strength and solid in defence today. Well Done and Well Done the rest of you Guys!!!!
