Well Moston began this game a little rocky and a bit out of sorts compared to last weeks game. Marauders scored their first in the 8th min due to Moston allowing them easy access through on goal. Moston soon pulled their socks up and began dominating the game once they got their positioning right.Today's captain Darius scored the first screamer, which set the tone for everyone else. Both Niall and Birthday boy Reece followed by scoring a great goal a piece. By half time the score was Marauders 1 - Moston Brook 3. Marauders come out in the second half with all guns blazing. At times it looked more like a rugby match than football. Matthew was brought down as he received a pass from Kallum and was attempting to clear it. He was knocked down and landed badly on his shoulder. He clearly needed hospital treatment and was taken away by his Nanna. Darius was also tackled badly a few times and one just happened to take place in the box, which resulted in a penalty being rewarded. Unfortunately Darius missed, but this was due to the injury he'd just received to his leg. He made up for it though with another superb goal from just outside the box. Niall and Reece decided to replay the first half by following him with another 1 a piece. Bringing the score for Moston to 6. The game had become very heated by this but just before the final whistle Craig decided to add 1 more to make it a lovely 7. Absolutely well done lads! keep it going you deserve it. MOTM today goes to Reece Flynn for the strength and determination he showed throughout the game. This boost must have come because it was his birthday ha! ha! HAPPY BIRTHDAY REECE FROM ALL AT MOSTON BROOK xx Note;Unfortunately xray results showed that Matthew Egan sustained a broken colar bone today as a result of a bad tackle. I know that you will all be with me in wishing Matthew all the best and a message to 'GET WELL SOON Matty,xx |
