The seconds travelled to Cheadle Hulme and looked to add 3 more points and a few more goals to our growing collection. Moston got into their stride early and played some excellent passing football. Paul Vayro should have gave us the lead after getting in behind the Cheadle Hulme defence, turning inside the defender to get into the box but somehow putting the ball wide when it seemed easier to score. Fitzpatrick also should have done better after a fine run but he managed to sky the ball over the bar. Moston did manage to take the lead midway through the first half, Smith going past the full-back and picking out Worsley for a simple tap-in. It was two soon after, Vayro again beating his man down the right, cutting inside, only to be brought down in the box. Mark Terris stepped up and put the penalty away with ease. Cheadle Hulme got themselves back in the game after their forward headed in, inside the area. Our two goal lead was restored pretty quickly though, Smith again got in down the  right, turned inside the defender, flicked it to Vayro who again went past his man and picked out Worsley who had another simple tap-in. An eventful first half ended on a high for our hosts as they again got themselves back in the game, after a mix-up in the Moston defence saw their centre-forward nip in ahead of Ian and score.

The half-time score seemed to suggest a tighter game than it really was as Moston dominated for long periods but sloppy defensive play gifted Cheadle Hulme a bit of a lifeline. This was to be destroyed in the second half as Moston made their superiority pay and score five more unanswered goals. Paul Vayro again making hay in the second half and could have probably got a double hat-trick never mind the hat-trick he did get. He finally got his first goal of the match, racing away from the Cheadle Hulme defence and finishing well into the corner. Then he was put clean through by Terris and again finished well into the corner. Substitute Mo Boayke nipped in ahead of the goalkeeper after a poor back pass and rolled in the sixth. Vayro completed his hat-trick soon after, again racing away from the Cheadle defence and finishing.. He probably should have had a fourth not long after but he instead thumped the cross bar but substitute Mani Obi was on hand to finish the rebound and score the eighth.

Another thumping win for the seconds and our goal tally is now up to fifty. A one-sided game in which the scoring could have easily gone into double figures. A bigger test will come next week against second in the table Burnage and we will need to cut out the sloppy defensive mistakes. However, we do seem to raise our game against the better sides and with our attacking threat we always have a good chance against anyone.
