Although these two teams have never met before, I thought it strange that for some unknown reason Elton Walshaw turned up to Brooks ground with a lot to say for themselves. Certain comments were  being called from the Elton lot that began to rile the Brook camp before the game had even kicked off.   I don't know whether this was part of their game plan but it appeared to be working throughout the first half.

Brook were the first to score however after Andrew plucked up the courage and stamina to go on a good run with the ball down the left wing taking on everyone that stepped in his way, before sending a superb shot straight across goal and into the running path of Darius, who slotted home his first.  It wasn't long before Elton equalised because Brook temporarily let their guard down. Darius soon put Moston back in the lead with a tremendous shot from just outside the area after receiving a fantastic pass from Kallum Partington. Just before the half time whistle reliable Darius found the net once again to achieve his hat trick of the day. Bringing the score at this point 3 v 1.

The second half was a little slow to get going. A few more niggling comments about Brook were being passed about the field by Elton and it appeared that by the way Brook were playing some were definately falling for the bait. Elton ended up being awarded a penalty, which was taken superbly and didn't give Brooks keeper much of a chance. With 12 minutes to go and the score at 3 v 2 Moston finally got the bit beween their teeth and started to pick up pace and show what they are capable of, by dominating the rest of the way. A fantastic clearance from Ryan Kenny in defence found Kyle Hark, who then delivered a superb ball allowing Niall Rafferty the perfect opportunity infront of goal. Niall wasted no time in finding the back of the net  making it 4.  With only minutes to go, Michael Heffernan's fantastic header found Sam Kelly playing a different role in midfield today. Sam reading the game well clipped the ball forward and to his left where Andrew was awaiting unmarked. Andrew raced on with the ball and blasted it at goal without a pause, giving the keeper no chance whatsoever of getting his hands to it.

Final score 5 v 2.  A very Well Done message goes to keeper Kyle Barton for being awarded MOTM today xxx Without you today Kyle, I feel that the score could have been much worse. Keep it up kid!!!!! Well Done!! on another win guys.... However I need to tell you this, even though i'm sure your all aware, Your performance today was not great. In fact it was poor in comparison to all your other games this season. You must never allow anybody from any other team to intimidate or manipulate you, like they tried today.  You must learn to ignore this type of thing as they only do it to make you feel uneasy and to ruin your game. Remember other teams are jealous because you are at the top and unbeaten so some will do anything to change that. You just keep it going and do your best, because to us at U12's (whatever the score) YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!
