Back to back wins for Brook this Saturday with a convincing three one win over Moston Juniors B, but things could have been so different if Field wouldn’t have pulled of two flying saves in the early stages. Brook started the game sluggish and it took the two saves to kick start them into action, Thomas soon settled into his distribution role spraying passes wide to Jackson and Burke and once the passing game got going you just new Brook were in with a good chance. The breakthrough came ten minutes in when Gaffney pushed the ball out to Goulden he played a through ball on to Taylor who shot wide of the keeper to chalk up his first goal of the season. Juniors countered and Willis and Potseluiko were put under some real pressure but they both give good accounts of themselves and when Juniors did get through the ever improving Field was comfortable. Just when it looked like Brook was going in at the break 1-0 up Juniors pounced with a fine strike to take them in all square.

The second half saw some big changes as Brook continue to shuffle the pack and they went back in front from a Burke corner that was stabbed home by Hammett.Once Brook took the lead Egan and Hammett shut up shop at the back and Jackson began to pull the strings up front with some fine link up play with Thomas and Burke. The final nail in the Juniors coffin came five minutes from time, Thomas found Jackson he  blistered a wicked drive towards goal when his effort was blocked Burke was on hand to hammer home from close range.

Final score 3-1 and we go into the Christmas break with another good win, but credit to all who took part especially for some unselfish passing and good team play as you all start to realise its not just about the guys who score the goals it’s the build up play that counts just as much as well.Man of the match went to Field for another fine performance between the sticks and Juniors manager awarded his man of the match to Taylor for hard work and a great strike. Merry Christmas boys.
