Written by Sandra Ferns

Moston were a little slow in getting started today as they allowed the Grasshoppers to roam all over them for the first 10 minutes or so. Life on the pitch was far too easy  for them as Moston were offering them plenty of room to pass and run forward. It wasn't long before Moston's lapsy daisy attitude was taken advantage of, as they allowed the Grasshoppers easy access into scoring the first goal. This was exactly the type of wake up call that our boys needed as within minutes they switched on and began to play like we know they can.  Kyle Hark  received a fantastic pass on the edge of the box from Kallum Partington and wasted no time in vollying home Brooks equaliser. Some great passing skills and superb teamwork down field from Brook was rewarded in the 20th minute when Dylan Henderson found the back of the net to make it 2 - 1.

The Grasshoppers came out strong in the second half and within 5 minutes managed to squeeze through Brook's defence and toe home their 2nd. Brook immediately retaliated by lifting their team spirit and upping the tempo, which began to make life rather difficult for the opposition. Brook created many chances for themselves and had quite a few shots on goal but couldn't seem to finish. However a mention must go to the Grasshoppers goalkeeper here, as at this point he made around 4 or 5 outstanding saves within the space of 10 minutes. With 5 minutes remaining Darius who had been marked by two players all the way through the game was awarded a penalty after being brought down in the box . What can I say'.... well! he certainly scored it with confidence. After this goal Brook took charge straight from the off once again and displayed some fantastic footballing techniques. Michael Heffernan found some last minute rocket power as he pasted through the Grasshopper midfield and layed the ball on for Kyle Hark who was thundering down the centre of the park like a raging bull after a red cloak. Kyle blasted home Brook's 4th with seconds left on the clock. The whistle blew at 4 v 2. Another good win for the Brook boys. Well Done all of you!!!! "But please go to bed early the night before a game in future, as I can't cope with the stress and strain of waiting for you all to wake up"..... Well Done Kyle Hark for being today's MOTM, you showed superb strength.
