Moston Brook made it three out of three this Saturday with another emphatic win over Failsworth West B. Brook were the quickest out of the blocks laying siege to the West goals straight from the kick off, and when Thomas found Potseluiko his shot drifted just wide. Again Brook went close this time Egan found Thomas on the edge of the box he laid out to Jackson but his stop was pushed wide by the West keeper. Failsworth countered but Field was at his finest top get down sharply to save, and when the West pounced on the rebound Hammett leapt in to flick the ball to safety. The opener came when Egan found Potseluiko out wide he found Jackson who's shot come cross deceived the West keeper and nestled into the top corner to put Brook one up. As the final minutes of the first half ebbed away Gaffney found Jackson in space again, he rounded the West defence and buried a thunderous drive home to take Brook in at the break two nil up.
The second half saw the introduction of Willis and Taylor, they were both soon in the thick of things as West pushed to get back into the game, but all the pressure they applied gave Brook the chance of catching them on the counter and that they did, Willis blocked a Failsworth drive and laid the ball out to Gaffney on the left, he turned and found Jackson in space who dropped his shoulder took it past the West defender and buried the ball into the bottom corner of the West net for his classy hat trick. In the final minutes Hammett found Gaffney in space as he surged forward into space he laid of to Taylor but his shot just drifted wide of the post.
Final score 3-0 a great all round performance again, man of the match this week went to Jackson for his master class in finishing.
