Brook were a little slow in taking off today and Chaddy Grasshoppers gave as good as they got in the first 15 minutes. Fortunately Andrew Bowker opened the score sheet after a fumble in the box after a Darius corner. Within minutes Michael Brewster followed through with a tremendous shot in the bottom left hand corner of the net. Just before half time Andrew Bowker got his second with a thunder shot that was destined to rip through the net. 0 v 3 at half time. The second half began was a totally different game. Brook suddenly became switched on and back to their best. Darius couldn’t resist getting his name on the score sheet with one of his superb master blaster shots from outside the area. This was followed by a nice little chip over the keeper goal by Brewster. Jack Keightley scored Brooks 6th after receiving the ball from a Darius pass and taking it on a great run down the right wing, releasing it on target to find the top right hand corner of the net. Kyle Hark finally scored his first, from a great shot after missing at least 5 earlier on. Colt’s managed to squeeze their way through the Brook defence from a corner kick and shot one past the Brook keeper to add one to their score sheet.A few of the Brook players were trying their best to get their hat trick but it was Mr Brewster who finally managed it in the 45th minute with a fantastic cannonball shot, which left a cloud of dust in front of the keeper. Colt’s very nearly scored their second but fortunately for Brook the very brave Craig Mckay managed to save it off the line and sent it over for a corner. Jack Keightley went on a tremendous run down the centre of the park in the 50th minute and delivered a low hard shot, which beat the keeper to find the bottom right corner. This would have been Jack’s fourth of the day if the two from earlier would have been allowed. Craig Mckay who was having a great game had to come off in the 55th after accidentally head butting a Grasshopper football boot which gave him a lovely egghead. Kyle Hark came back on to fill in and within minutes scored his second of the day after receiving a clearance pass from Kallum Partington, Kyle beat the keeper with a sneaky little tap in on his way past the post.

This turned out to be a great game, everyone of you deserve applauding for all of the hard work that you put in and you all need commending on your passing skills and your team spirit throughout. Well done!!!!!! Today’s MOTM has to go to Sam Kelly for his outstanding performance in defence and for the true grit that you displayed throughout the whole 60 minutes. Superb!!!!!!
