A very even game saw Brook edged out in this rip roaring cliff hanger. Brook started brightly forcing chance after chance in the early stages, but they couldn’t finish to take the lead.
From a good spell of pressure from Northside the opener came. Brook failed to clear their ranks and Northsides centre forward made no mistake as the ball fell to him on the edge of the area he hammered home into the top corner.
Brook rallied but Jackson and Burke both had chances well saved, and from a harmless kick out Brook were caught cold, a great lay off by the Northside attacker found their forward in space and a stylish finish saw them go two up.
Thomas responded with a ball to Burke and he found Jackson in space, he rounded the Northside defence and hammered home to give Brook some hope.
As Brook looked likely to get back in it the killer blow came, from a Brook attack Northside hit on the break and a cool finish by the Northside forward took them in at the interval 3-1 up in a very even encounter.
In the second half Egan was pushed forward to try and get Brook back into the game but a series of off the line clearances and good saves from the keeper kept Brook out .
Man of the match went to Egan for the second time running and Northsides man of the match went to Jackson for a never say die captains attitude. But Brook can take some credit from this for a spirited performance and never giving up.
