Brook took quite a bit of time to settling into their game today. The Rossendale boys dominated the first 10 minutes because most of the Brook squad didn't appear to want to do any work. The rapid Rossy striker was given the opportunity on a few occasions to glide easily past the Brook defence, whilst they were still waking up from last nights sleep. Rossy were rewarded in the 15th minute with the first goal of the game.

A handful of Brook players suddenly woke up from their kip and decided to start playing. They had a couple of missed chances before Darius was brought down in the box and Brook was awarded a penalty. Niall Rafferty took it with confidence and the stuck the equaliser with precision. Half time scores 1 v 1.

Brook came out much stronger in the second half. They finally rekindled their usual team spirit and began to demonstrate pace as well as their superb pass and run techniques. However a small misunderstanding in the Brook defence in the 10th minute allowed the Rossy striker through on goal again, but luckily for Brook, little Heffer needs to be mentioned for saving the close range shot off the line with his bottom Well done Heffer! It took another 20 minutes before Brook went ahead after Craig Mckay crossed a superb ball into the path of Andrew Bowker just outside the box. Andrew leathered a scorcher of a shot straight into the top right hand corner of the net, allowing the Rossy keeper no chance what so ever of a sniff of the ball never mind a touch. In the last minute of the game a bit of a scramble took place in the Rossendale box, after a near miss by Kyle Hark, Craig wasted no time in reacting instantly to the rebound and bagged Brooks 3rd of the day. Final score 3 v 1. Well done lads! Although an even bigger well done goes to Kallum Partington for being today's MOTM for his determination and outstanding performance in defence. Remember guys "You need to liven yourselves up sooner in the game if you want to achieve anything in the semi finals next week", SO COME ON!!!!!!!
