Brook played the same as last week against a feisty Clayton team who smelt success before the kick off. Clayton dominated from the kick off forcing save after save from the heroic Field in the Brook goal. It took Brook ten minutes to get into the game but when they did get in the Clayton area no one seemed in the mood to try and penetrate. Disappointingly it was backs to the wall up to half time as an impressive looking Clayton laid siege to the Brook goal only to be thwarted by some good defending and fine goalkeeping that kept them out. Brook rung the changes but still Field was the busiest player on the pitch as he picked up where he left of in the first half. The break through came five minutes in when the Clayton forward found himself in acres of space, his shot was smartly saved but the unmarked advancing Clayton forward banged home the rebound. The second goal came shortly afterwards when Brook were caught appealing for a free kick, they stopped and when the decision wasn’t given Clayton didn’t need a second chance. Brook had a good five minutes following this but it was to little to late, and another disappointing defeat still leaves them without a win since they qualified into the A league. Man of the match from both sets of managers went to the flying Field for a string of top drawer saves and great attitude.
