Another fine start for Brook as they once again kicked off in true Brook style, with strength and dominance being the key issue.
Straight from the off Brooks fantastic team momentum was demonstrated through their excellent pass
and run techniques. Niall knocked a superb ball across midfield for the speedy Captain Darius to carry it forward down the right wing. Darius with his usual precision spliced it into the box ready for the awaiting Reece to chip over the Elton defence in preparation for the on running Jack Keightley. Jack wasted no time at all in hammering home a class goal to put Brook ahead in the 5th minute.
Brook had many missed chances before Elton managed to get through on goal in the 25th minute, however fortunately for Brook having Kyle safe hands Barton between the sticks meant that the players needn't worry because as usual he grabbed the ball out of the air like Mr. Miyagi catches flies in the Karate kid movies.
Seconds later Craig Mckay sent a powerful clearance shot to the foot of Reece Flynn on the edge of the box. Reece once again assisted in delivering another great pass this time to Darius who leathered home number 2 for is team.
Half time scores 0 v 2.
The second half began with Brook being just as strong and determined as the first and again the players were showing some superb displays of footballing skills and techniques. However it took another 30 minutes before the ball touched the back of the net again. This time it developed from a scuffle involving many players in the Elton box. The ball was being knocked about to and fro and in and out before finally Ryan Kenny put his name on it with a vengeance and settled the score once and for all. Full time scores 0 v 3.
Overall, once again Brook showed true grit and determination right from the start and considering that a few key players were missing today the squad showed their commitment to one another by pulling together and giving it their all.
Our message as usual is WELL DONE to all of you on another great performance and for making us proud.
Finally a special well done goes to the Brook back four particularly to Man of the match, Craig Mckay for your blistering performance in the centre back position. You made life very difficult for Elton today as they struggled to get through. This was down to your speed, your power, and your strength stopping them. Great stuff..............
