Brook U12's certainly know how to put on a great show and are definitely getting used to starting as they mean to go on. They began again with some superb passes down the field between them and within 5 minutes Jack Keightley was the first to put his name on the score card after receiving a fantastic pass into the box from Reece Flynn. Jack rocketed a thunderous right footer past the keeper to make it 0 v 1. Three minutes later after another great display of passes between Brook team members, Niall Rafferty cheekily chipped the keeper to bag Brook's 2nd. The ball was back into the Bury half virtually straight from the kick off and again was being knocked about before being launched forward and out for a corner. Captain Darius (who in my opinion is the best corner taker at this age group in the land), took it and as usual sent it hurdling straight into the box for Reece Flynn to bullet head home number 3. Soon after, Darius set up another superb ball, which was accidentally knocked into their own net by a Bury player, but we are giving this goal to Daz anyway because he caused it. Thanks Daz. Score now 0 v 4. Twenty minutes into the game and Reece produced number 5 from another brilliant spot on pass by Darius from outside the edge of the area. 5 minutes later Andrew Bowker went on one of his mad runs down the left wing taking on everyone that stood in his way before releasing it for the awaiting Niall on the edge of the box. Niall became surrounded and passed it back for Andrew to leather it into the top left hand corner of the net. In the 30th minute Daz had a tremendous shot knocked out by the keeper. Daz once again took the corner with precision and once again found Reece who made sure he didn't miss his chance of a hat trick by hoofing it low and hard past the keeper. Half time scores 0 v 7.

We decided to make a few changes in the second half and these changes were not in any way made to make fun of the opposition. They were merely made to give certain players a chance to have a go at playing in different positions and for them to see what they can make of their time there. The goal keeper Kyle Barton was allowed up front and striker Reece Flynn who was complaining with a blister on his heal stood between the sticks for us. Little Heffer changed with Sam Kelly and played in centre mid. In the first 10 minutes it was a little rocky because if the changes but Brook soon found their form. Andrew Bowker was the first to score in this half after another one of his runs down the left wing and into the box, he shot at the keeper who sent it back out for Andrew to capture the moment on his right foot and blast it back in, allowing the keeper no chance.

Some great passing between Brook started again and Niall Rafferty made the most of a fantastic long ball from Craig in defence by hammering home his second of the day to make it 9 for Brook. A small mistake in the Brook defence allowed Bury through on goal and Brook paid for it by conceding one. Now 1 v 9.

Everyone was willing Kyle Barton who doesn't get many chances to put his name on the score card and after a couple of near misses he finally found the target after a pass across goal from Niall Rafferty. The smile on Kyle's face was enough to keep him going until next season. Well done Ky. Finally, after many missed shots by various players Darius decided to have a go from just outside the box on the right and 9 time out of 10 he finds the target. Fortunately today was one of those 9 and his cannon ball blaster hit the net that hard it rolled across the nylon from one side to the other before stopping in the corner.

Final score 1 v 11. We have to give the Bury players credit where it is due and say that they are a good set of lads and given that the gap in the scores were so large at one point it looked as though they had given up but this only lasted for a few moments because they came back and carried on in good spirit until the end.

Another fantastic game and score line boys. You should be proud of yourselves again because we are. You all get MOTM today because you all worked hard. Particularly Captain Darius for consistently showing grit and determination to succeed and Craig for standing in for the missing Kallum in defence again and doing a great job.

Very Well done everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
