Another fantastic start for Brook considering the pitch wasn't up to much. The grass was that long pheasants were nesting in it. Darius was unlucky not to have scored in the 2nd minute when his shot ricocheted from one post to the other before being cleared away by a Whitworth defender. He did however, take an active role in setting up a superb ball for Niall Rafferty to put Brook in front 5 minutes later with a fantastic goal.

Big strong Michael Brewster scored the 2nd with one of his tremendous rocket shots, after a great delivery by Niall.

Some great passes were taking place as usual between all of the Brook brotherhood on the field. In the 10th minute Darius received a clearance ball from little Heffer down the right wing and ran it forward at top speed before unselfishly passing it to the awaiting Niall to slam dunk Brooks 3rd.

Reece Flynn had a superb shot stopped in the 20th minute when the Whitworth keeper punched the ball out. Fortunately the ball only went as far as Niall Rafferty's mean right foot and he wasted no time in knocking it straight back in for his hat trick and to bring the score at half time to 0 v 4.

Whitworth came out in the second half much stronger than they were in the first but Brook's defence were making life very difficult for them to get through. However because of their persistence they managed a couple of shots, which were no problem for the smart keeper Kyle Barton who read them well as he just snatched anything that came his way.

Kyle Hark scored a pretty mean goal in 9th minute of the second half after another one of Darius's accurate crosses into the box.

A moment of sloppiness in the Brook defence afforded Whitworth through on goal after the kick off and because players were not back quick enough they had plenty of time to shoot, which they did. Fortunately for Brook, Ryan Kenny was there to hoof the ball off the line with one of the most powerful clearance balls I have seen in a long time.

Plenty more zig zag pass and run techniques were taking place between the Brook squad up and down the field. When Niall received it he decided to pay back his dues and offered a graceful pass across the goal mouth for Darius to hammer home Brook's 6th.

The Whitworth keeper had no chance when Michael Brewster thundered in the next from another magnificent corner taken by Darius. Whitworth began to tire from this point on and didn't really get much of a touch, although they didn't give up.

Brook were awarded another corner after a great shot by Kallum Partington who had pushed up into midfield at this point was knocked out by the keeper. Darius took the corner and once again found Kyle Hark patiently waiting in the box to leather in number 8, and his 2nd of the day.

Just minutes before the final whistle, Michael Brewster claimed his hat trick by cheekily dodging and weaving the ball through the centre of midfield and into the box before he released a shot that was so powerful it left a smoke trail above the Whitworth defence as it landed in the top right hand corner of the net. Final score 0 v 9.

Very well done guys this was another tremendous score line to put under your belts. You all played fantastic.

MOTM today goes to Niall Rafferty for providing us with another outstanding performance. Keep it up!!!!
