Today we entertained Swinton, Brook started brightly and as the half went on we started to create a number of excellent chances.
Swinton's keeper was in inspired form, Reece Brown also hit the inside of the post with the ball going agonisingly across the line and to safety.
Half time score was 0-0 but we should have converted a couple of our chances.
Brook carried on in the same vein in the second half , we finally managed to break the deadlock when Gary Evans struck an unstoppable half volley from the edge of the area.
One minute to go management team of myself and Andrew gave instructions to close the game out and certain individuals chose to ignore the instructions as a consequence Swinton broke and equalised in the last minute.
So the excellent 69 minutes of football was wasted and we lost a needless two points, after the whistle the players responsible was told this is not acceptable, hopefully they have took on board what has been said and will learn from this if the have it will be a lesson learned.
To Swinton’s credit they are an excellent footballing side and kept going to the final whistle.
