Saturday 25th April 2009 Moston Brook 3 v 3 Moston Valley
A closely fought match resulted in a high scoring draw in today's game with a final result of 3-3, a fine team performance. After being in front twice in the first half at 1-0 and then 2-1 could only see us go in at half time level at 2-2. Two well taken goals by Bowles in the first half was the least we deserved from our efforts. Second half was close and a bit of a goal mouth scramble saw Handley take a whack in the face from a clearance from one of his own team-mates, but it is what we have expected from Handley's performances over the last few weeks, his decision to go in goal has reaped rewards for him and also the team, shortly after, a mix up in our defence found us 3-2 down and battling to get something out off the game that we looked like we could not lose, but in fergie time (as any non united fan calls injury time), 15 seconds into injury time saw Corrigan's good run and persistence down the right to force a mistake from the defender and he rifled in a much deserved equalizer.
